77% of Armenians ‘content with their government’, according to survey

A recent survey by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center revealed that the society is overwhelmingly content with the incumbent government’s work, the institution’s director said today.

At a news conference in Yerevan, Valery Fedorov said that 77% of their respondents expressed an overall positive attitude to the cabinet led by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.

According to him, 31% of those polled gave the evaluation “absolutely positive”, with 31% saying that their attitude is “positive rather than negative”.
The survey, commissioned by the TV channel Shant, was conducted in capital Yerevan and the regions.
The Russian pollster said they also found the highest rate of political awareness in the country as opposed to the other ex-Soviet republics.  In his words, 71% of Armenia’s population turned out to be regularly following political developments.
