Victory becomes the target of the Armenian people at a moment of danger, President Armen Sarkissian told reporters today at the Victory Park, where he joined several other top officials in the festivities marking the Peace and Victory Day, the 27th anniversary of the Artsakh Defense Army and the Liberation of Shushi.
“At a moment of danger – during the Artsakh Liberation War, the April War – the entire Armenian nation is consolidated, and its target becomes victory. It’s a crucial fact,” he stressed.
“This May holiday is interesting. These days are beautiful and will last forever,” he said.
Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, National Security Service Director Artur Vanetsyan, Police Chief Valeriy Osipyan, Constitutional Court Chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan, MPs and veterans are also in attendance of the May 9 celebrations.
