Armenia is 7 points ahead of Azerbaijan and only one point behind Iran on the list of the richest countries in the world, writes Sputnik Armenia.
The American magazine Global Finance published its 2023 list of the richest countries in the world.
The respective ranking was made by the amount of the gross domestic product calculated at purchasing power parity (GDP according to purchasing power parity).
The aforesaid list is headed by Ireland, Luxembourg, and Singapore, respectively.
Among the countries of Armenia’s region, Turkey is the leader; it is 53rd in the ranking. Georgia is next in the region—at 79th place. Iran ranks lower—at 84th. It is followed by Armenia—in the 85th position. And Azerbaijan rounds up—in the 92nd spot—the list of countries in Armenia’s region.
