Russia newspaper: Normalization of Moscow-Ankara relations can have positive impact on Karabakh conflict

With Russia’s mediation, the normalization of the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan is progressing very actively, but without undue haste.

Izvestia newspaper of Russia wrote the above-said citing its diplomatic source.

“Russia realizes that the crisis needs to be surmounted in a way that all of its participants, including Nagorno-Karabakh itself, come out of it as painlessly as possible.

“The Russian plan, in particular, provides for deblockage of the borders of NKR [i.e. Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh)] and Armenia, not only by the Azerbaijani, but the Turkish side,” the newspaper also wrote.

According to the source of Izvestia, the normalization of Russia-Turkey relations can have a favorable impact on the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
