Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member states adopted a statement on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the meeting held in Yerevan on Monday.
The statement says that they express support to the agreements reached at the summits on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in Vienna on May 16 and on June 20 in St. Petersburg, which aimed at preventing the escalation in the conflict zone, stabilization of situation and creation of conditions to advance the peace process.
Confirming the necessity of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, they expressed support for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group dealing with the settlement of the conflict based on international law, the Charter of the UN, provisions of the Helsinki Final Act, in particular, concerning non-use of force or threat of use of force, territorial integrity of the states, and the right of the people for self-determination.
