Echmiadzin, Armenia – Mer Doon is pleased to announce that Megerian Carpet Armenia will host and sponsor its 10th anniversary celebration on October 10, 2016 at Megerian Carpet Factory Showroom. The entire proceeds from the evening will go to Mer Doon. Due to limited space, the event is by invitation only.
The party will feature amazing silent and live auctions, a gourmet buffet by stations, entertainment by Martin Aharonyan and Marine Hakobyan, and notable guest speakers, including former and current residents of Mer Doon. The silent auction will feature small hand woven rugs, which have been specially created by Mer Doon’s orphaned young women.
Karen Ayvazyan, Megerian Carpet Marketing Director, stated, “Our company is excited to host and sponsor Mer Doon’s 10th anniversary party. We first discussed this idea in April and have been working for months to make sure that the event will be unforgettable. We greatly admire Mer Doon’s work with orphaned and disadvantaged girls in Armenia, and know that this partnership will be a lasting one.”
“It’s truly an honor that the Megerian family has generously offered to host and sponsor our anniversary festivities. Mer Doon has survived the test of time and, 10 years later, our program is stronger and more vibrant than ever. We have welcomed and nurtured nearly 50 girls in our program and are extremely proud of the upstanding, educated, talented, and compassionate women they have become. We have taken diamonds in the rough and turned them into sparkling gems,” stated Tigranuhi Karapetyan, Mer Doon’s Executive Director.
