Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Tuesday met with Russian Ambassador Ivan Volinkin.
The PM noted that Armenian-Russian relations have a solid foundation, and stressed that bilateral cooperation is developing, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Noting that Russia is the main economic partner of Armenia, Karapetyan underscored the further development and expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. He added that there is great potential for the implementation of new investment projects and the increasing of trade.
Ambassador Volinkin, for his part, noted that he believes in the success of the new Armenian government, and added that he stands ready to assist in the implementation of joint initiatives.
Subsequently, the interlocutors reflected on Armenian-Russian relations and economic cooperation.
