ARARAT Nairi brandy of Yerevan Brandy Factory (20-year maturity) received the highest Gran Prix and Gold Medal at the 20th International Wine and Spirits Competition in Moscow.
The competition, which was held under the auspices of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine, featured over 299 brand name wines and spirits of 16 countries, including Portugal, Spain, Russia, the United States, Ukraine and France.
The awards will soon be showcased at ARARAT Museum.
ARARAT Nairi brandy (maturity-20 years, strength-40%) has been produced since 1967 and has received several dozens of gold medals.
ARARAT Armenian brandies are produced at Yerevan Brandy Factory. Production was launched in 1887 by the Nerses and Vasily Tairyants brothers. The spirits used for production of ARARAT brandies are matured in centuries-old oak barrels of the Caucasus that are made at the barrel workshop of the Factory. In 1998, Yerevan Brandy Factory joined Pernod Ricard.
