Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, received 8,100 passengers from Iran, during the Nowruz (Iranian New Year) holidays, from March 15 to April 4.
During last year’s Nowruz holidays, however, a total of 5,300 Iranian tourists had arrived in Zvartnots.
In the current year, Iranian airlines conducted 80 scheduled and non scheduled flights, against 48 such flights in 2016, from Iran to Armenia.
