MAYOR DENIS CODERRE ANNOUNCES HAROUT CHITILIAN’S CANDIDACY TO THE MAYORSHIP OF AHUNTSIC-CARTIERVILLE BOROUGH

Mayor of Montreal, Mr. Denis Coderre, is proud to announce the candidacy of Harout Chitilian as mayor in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville in Montreal.

Elected as a councillor in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville since 2009, Harout is a young politician fully engaged in the community of Bordeaux-Cartierville. Harout Chitilian is also the vice-president of the city’s executive committee responsible for administrative reform, youth programs, the smart city and information technology.

Following the 2013 elections, the Mayor of Montreal, Denis Coderre, gave him the mandate to make Montréal a smart and digital city. Since 2014, there have been several achievements, including the digitization of snow removal operations, the digitization of more than 180 municipal services, support for the creation of Canada’s first smart city business accelerator, Measurement and publication of organizational performance indicators and adoption of a new open data policy based on the default data release principle. Mr. Chitilian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Specialization in Telecommunications from École Polytechnique de Montréal 2004.
