According to the data released by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS), the economic activity index (EAI) of Armenia increased by 10.2% in January 2018 to compare with the same period of 2017.
According to the NSS, production volume rose by 13.9%, to compare with January 2017 and decreased 25% against the production volume of December 2017.
The construction volumes also saw increase by 19.7% for the indicated period, totaling to 9 milliard 333.7 million AMD, while electricity production sphere also saw an increase amounting for 7%.
The trade turnover increased by 17.3% in January the service volume (excluding the trade) rose by 15.2%. The consumer prices, according to the NSS statistics, also increased by 02.7% compared to January 2017.
Compared to January of the previous year the gross agricultural output decreased by 0.4% in January 2018, amounting to 17 milliard 535.7 million AMD.
As for the external trade turnover, it rose by 47.6% in January- 2018 with the exports increasing by 45.2.7% and imports by 48.9%.
According to the NSS data, the average monthly salary in Armenia rose by 10.2%. In the public sector the average salary grew by 7.1%, in the private sector the average wage rose by 11.3%.
