The “Armenian Bar Association” established by Diaspora Armenian lawyers has published a letter in relation to the rise in the number of statements containing hatred against the Armenians of Turkey and the attacks on the Kamp Armen Armenian orphanage.
The letter has been sent to the Turkish Consulates in the USA, Canada, France, Great Britain, Italy, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Lebanon, Egypt and Columbia, as reports ermenihaber.am.
According to Turkey’s Agos Armenian Weekly, in their letter, the Diaspora Armenian lawyers call on diplomatic missions to condemn the provocations against Armenians. in the letter written by leader of the organization Harry Dikranian, the Diaspora Armenian lawyers talk about the attacks on Kamp Armen, a Turkish policeman’s statement “You Are All Armenian” addressed to the Kurds, nationalists’ statement “Jizre will become a cemetery for the Kurds and Kurtulush will become a cemetery for the Armenians” and other similar statements.
The Diaspora Armenian lawyers also call on helping prevent statements of officials instilling hatred against the Armenians.
