Air Baltic has announced plans for a new route between Armenia’s capital Yerevan and the Latvian capital Riga in June 2021, Business Traveller reports.
The service is one of five new routes for the carrier next summer, with the others being to Manchester in England, Yekaterinburg in Russia, and Bergen and Trondheim in Norway.
Alongside the new services Air Baltic said that it hopes to resume flights on 17 other routes which it was not able to serve this summer due to Covid-19 restrictions.
“The safety and health of our employees and passengers has stood and will stand above all,” said Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic. “We see that people miss travelling. I strongly believe that the demand for flights will begin to grow in the coming months once reliable solutions such as vaccines and wider testing to limit the spread of Covid-19 are introduced.”
