House of Representatives of the Argentine province Misiones adopted a law approving the national law passed in 2007, which proclaims April 24 as a “Day of Action for Tolerance and Respect between Peoples” in commemoration of the Genocide committed against the Armenian people.
The law was promulgated on March 18 and entered into force on September 3, Prensa Armenia reports.
The aforementioned law was also approved by the Argentine provinces Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Chubut, Córdoba, Corrientes, Jujuy, La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Negro, San Juan, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego, as well as the autonomous city of Buenos Aires.
