We, politicians, perhaps understand why Russia does not give tougher reactions to Azerbaijan’s actions. But the Armenian society, which accepts Russia as a brotherly country, has other expectations.
President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, on Monday noted the aforesaid at his talk in Geneva, Switzerland, with chairman Sergei Naryshkin of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
The NA press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the meeting was held along the lines of the 133rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Sahakyan, speaking about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, informed Naryshkin that Azerbaijan continues violating the ceasefire. He also expressed concern that this country has started using more powerful military equipment.
Sergei Naryshkin, in turn, noted that Russia’s great wish is that the Karabakh conflict is resolved soon and solely through peace, and that Armenian-Azerbaijani relations improve as much as possible.
