ARF activists stage ‘SOS Artsakh’ sit-in outside EU Delegation office in Yerevan

Members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) on Tuesday staged a sit-in outside the EU Delegation office in Yerevan, urging it to pressure Azerbaijan to end its brutal blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The ARF activists started 24-hour “SOS Artsakh” sit-ins outside the U.S., Russian, French Embassies and the EU office at 8:30am.

“Artsakh has been under blockade for nearly 7 months now, lacking access to electricity and even basic medical supplies,” the protesters said outside the EU headquarters.

“Artsakh cannot be part of dictatorial Azerbaijan with any status. The Artsakh conflict is not resolved, the struggle of the Artsakh Armenians is sacred, and we must all respect the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination,” they stressed, urging EU officials to take practical steps to prevent the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.
