Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry. The meeting took place within the framework of the official visit of the RA Prime Minister to Egypt. This was reported in the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Regional security issues were discussed.
Minister Mirzoyan touched upon the constant efforts of the Republic of Armenia towards the establishment of long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus, presenting to his Egyptian counterpart the recent discussions in the process of regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. Ararat Mirzoyan stressed that the RA approaches to the key issues are fair and legitimate, based on the necessity of respecting the well-known principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty and jurisdiction.
In the context of unblocking the regional infrastructures, Ararat Mirzoyan emphasised Armenia’s clearly expressed interest and political will to promote the process based on the principles of reciprocity and equality.
