The National Assembly on Tuesday voted to elect Davit Khachaturyan as a new judge of Armenia’s Constitutional Court.
Khachaturyan’s appointment was backed by all 70 out of 105 MPs who took part in the election.
He had been nominated for the vacant post by the General Assembly of Judges.
Davit Khachaturyan is a former member of the Supreme Judicial Council and the brother of Anti-Corruption Committee Chairman Sasun Khachatryan.
