Armenia’s Pashinyan to Iran’s Khamenei: We stand with good friend, neighbor country, people during this difficult period

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia met with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei of Iran, in Tehran, the PM’s office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

 

The Prime Minister offered his condolences on the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their accompanying persons in the helicopter crash on May 19. Pashinyan noted that he has warm memories of the contacts with the Iranian President and FM, and noted that Armenia and its people are standing with the good friend and neighbor country and people during this difficult period for Iran.

 

Khamenei, for his part, thanked the Armenian PM for visiting and participating in the tribute event during this difficult time for Iran.

 

The interlocutors expressed the belief that Armenia and Iran will continue the steps aimed at the development and expansion of warm and friendly relations for the benefit of the progress of both countries and peoples.
