Residents of Armenia’s Kirants village saw Azerbaijan flag in delimited part of border, village head says

In the morning, the residents of Kirants village of Armenia’s Tavush Province noticed an Azerbaijani flag in the delimited areas of the Armenia- Azerbaijan border, Kirants prefect Kamo Shahinyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am Tuesday.

“Where their border guards are standing, they [i.e. the Azerbaijanis] put their flag on the opposite side of our flag,” Shahinyan said.

We reported earlier that several residents of Kirants were burning and demolishing their real estate which was going to come under the control of Azerbaijan as a result of border delimitation. Also, these residents of Kirants refused the respective compensation offered to them by the Armenian authorities.
