The border tension is linked to domestic politics and regional developments.
Minister of Defense of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan expressed such a view speaking to Armenian News-NEWS.am, and reflecting on the tension caused by Azerbaijan in recent days.
“It’s not about the people, but the [Azerbaijani] leaders who exacerbate the situation,” Ohanyan said. “I’m being harsh in saying, but this situation allows me to say a scum is a scum. (…) All this will not go unanswered.”
In the Armenian defense minister’s words, this situation has already become a format and a way of life for Azerbaijan.
“Our adversaries have chosen this [way of life],” Seyran Ohanyan added. “They should be treated the same way as they treat.”
Border tension has increased in recent days, and as a result, the Armenian side has suffered one casualty and three injuries.
