The Armenian government has changed the paperwork procedures for foreign students seeking to enroll in higher education institutions whereby the admission papers will be filed online.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport said that the decision was adopted at the Cabinet meeting on August 1.
The dev-fs.emis.am system will be used to facilitate the registration process of foreigners, including Diaspora-Armenians, willing to apply admission papers to universities.
The online system will feature comprehensive information about Armenian universities for foreigners.
The system is now undergoing testing.
The changes also envisage new requirements for applicants: healthcare insurance document, birth certificate, as well as a bank account for tuition.
