Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
The meeting was held within the framework of the CIS summit.
During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan praised the “active political dialogue” with Russia in the past few months.
“I am happy to note that we’ve had rather active political dialogue during the past months,” Pashinyan told Putin. “Deputy Prime Minister [of Russia] Alexey Overchuk visited Yerevan, and in addition to the intergovernmental commission meeting we also comprehensively talked about nearly all issues on the bilateral agenda. In the beginning of October, the EEU intergovernmental council session was held in Yerevan, and during that event we substantially discussed issues pertaining to our cooperation. And today is also a good opportunity to sum up these discussions, and I am very happy for this chance,” Pashinyan said in the beginning of the meeting.
Putin met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev earlier on October 8 and discussed, among other issues, the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization, according to Russian news agencies.
