Russia doing its best for normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations – Putin

Russia is doing Its best for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and signing of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the ceremony, where Ambassadors of a number of countries presented their credentials.

“We have done and are doing everything to normalize Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, to ensure lasting peace in the South Caucasus. We will continue to assist the parties in the work on a peace treaty, on the delimitation of the state border and the unblocking of economic and transport communications in line with the well-known trilateral agreements reached at the highest level in 2020-2022,” Putin said.

He commended the fact that the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan took advantage of the BRICS summit in Kazan to hold a “useful conversation on fundamental issues related to achieving lasting peace and interethnic harmony in the region.”
