The Iranian airline, Mahan Air, began once-weekly direct flights between Moscow and Tehran starting January 21.
Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said, “It is expected that the current process of expanding ties between Iran and Russia, as well as the newly emerged spheres and possibilities will result in a rise in the number of flights between the capitals, regions of the two countries in the future.”
He said that the number of flights will reach to two a week starting February 20.
