Armenian inscriptions found during excavations at fortress in Jordan

Armenian inscriptions were found during the excavations at a fortress founded by the Crusaders in Jordan, and Armenian specialists were invited to examine them. Armenian historian and archaeologist Hamlet Petrosyan wrote about this on Facebook.

“Shoubak. A fortress in Jordan founded by the Crusaders in the early 12th century, being excavated by our Italian colleagues from the University of Florence, where Armenian inscriptions were found, and we are here to research them. Thanks to the head of the expedition, Professor Michele Nuchotti, and the whole team for such an opportunity,” wrote Petrosyan.
