Icons of St. Gregory the Illuminator and St. Gregory of Narek were installed in a Catholic Church in Barcelona on September 14 as a sign of friendship between the Armenian and Spanish peoples, the Armenian Embassy in Spain informs.
The icons were donated to the church by Barcelona-based Mayiliyan family.
At their request and invitation, the consecration of the icons was performed by the Patriarchal Delegate to Western Europe and representative of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Vatican, His Eminence Archbishop Khajak Barsamian, in accordance with the rules of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
