Putin awards Honored Artist of Russia title to Amayak Akopyan

President Vladimir Putin has awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation to Russian Armenian  illusionist, actor, and circus artist Amayak Akopyan.

The respective decree was posted on the Russian legal information portal.

Akopyan was born on December 1, 1956 in Moscow, in the family of Arutyun Akobyan, a circus magician and People’s Artist of the USSR.

He was the host and co-author of a Russian music TV program, starred in a Russian TV program, hosted a Russian children’s program, and played in more than 20 Russian films and TV series.
