On January 17, 2016, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Canada, celebrated Christmas Liturgy at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church of Ottawa. The Primate was assisted by Rev. Fr. Komitas Mirzakhanian, Visiting Pastor of the Parish, and deacons from Laval and Ottawa.
His Excellency Armen Yeganian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenian to Canada, and Mr. Sasun Hovhannisyan, Consul of the Republic of Armenia to Canada, attended the parish’s first Liturgy of the year.
After the Liturgy, a Water-Blessing Service was conducted by the Primate and the Pastor. Mr. Ohannes Dokmedjian became the Godfather of the Cross.
Upon conclusion of the Service, a reception was offered by the Church Parish Council.
