On November 14, 2015, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese, expressed condolences to Mr. Sami Haddad, Counselor & Charge D’Affaires a.i. at the Embassy of Lebanon to Canada.
In his letter the Primate mentioned “We are deeply saddened by the terrorist attacks that took place in Beirut on November the 12th, 2015. Please accept my condolences to you and to the entire Lebanese nation, especially to the families of the innocent victims brutally murdered by terrorists. I express sincere condolences on my behalf, as well as on behalf of our clergy, the Diocesan Council and the entire community of the faithful of the Armenian Apostolic Church Canadian Diocese. The Armenian people share sincerely your grief as we nourish unshakable brotherly relations with the entire people of Lebanon. Please be assured of our constant prayers to our Lord for the Lebanese Nation at these stressful times for your country.”
