On December 11, 2015, Mrs. Kathleen Weil, Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness of Quebec, paid a visit to Hay Doun. The Minister was welcomed by His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate, Mrs. Nayiri Tavlian, President of the “Hay Doun”, and Mrs. Narod Odabasiyan, the “Hay Doun” Director. The purpose of Mrs. Weil’s visit was to discuss “Hay Doun’s” experience related to Iraqi and Syrian refugees. On the occasion of the Minister’s visit His Grace offered a wooden cross carved with Armenian ornaments.
