President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday 16th March, 2016 attended, at the outdoor museum of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus and together with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, the unveiling of an Armenian cross-stone that symbolizes Armenian-Cypriot friendship.
On behalf of the Armenian people, Sargsyan presented this monument to the Cypriot side, and in connection with his official visit to Cyprus.
In his remarks at the event, President Anastasiades stressed that this cross-stone monument reflects the inseparable link between the Armenian and Cypriot peoples and the two friendship countries. He noted that Armenia and Cyprus continue to develop their bilateral cooperation by combining the forces of the two nations, so as to achieve victory in their fight for justice.
President Sargsyan, for his part, stated that this cross-stone will represent Armenia and the Armenian people to the Cypriot people and foreigners who visit Cyprus. He added that this monument will become a powerful testimony of Armenian-Cypriot friendship.
