On November 7-8, 2015, the Romanian Armenian Diocese celebrated the 100th anniversary of Holy Archangels Armenian Cathedral of Bucharest.
On November 7, in the cultural museum, there was a recital dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Holy Archangels church. Present were Bishop Datev Hagopian, Primate of the Romanian Armenian Diocese, Archbishop Nathan Hovhannissian, representative of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Canadian Armenian Diocese, representatives from sister churches and government representatives, and pilgrims.
The next day, November 8, 2015, Bishop Datev Hagopian, Primate of the Romanian Armenian Diocese, celebrated Divine Liturgy in Holy Archangels Cathedral, with the participation of sister churches, government representatives and pilgrims.
After Divine Liturgy and after the sharagan “Etchmiadzin ee Hore”, Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Canadian Armenian Diocese, ascended the Altar with the encyclical from HH Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Holy Archangels Cathedral. Archbishop Nathan Hovhannissian, representative of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin, read the encyclical and during the blessing, presented the Primate Hagopian with the gift of a silver chalice. After the blessing portion, Bishop Datev, Primate of the Romanian Armenian Diocese, thanked HH Karekin II, Archbishop Nathan, Bishop Abgar, Primate of the Canadian Armenian Diocese, and all official guests.
