The Armenian Canadian council (ACC) commends Anthony Housefather MP, Chair of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights of the Canadian Parliament: for making this statement that corresponds with ACC’s policies.

“This is a conflict [Nagorno-Karabakh] that must be resolved by peaceful means and not violence. I am very pleased that a cease fire is in place. However, almost all reports indicate that the violence was initiated by Azerbajian and as such I strongly condemn this armed intervention and call for the Minsk Group to place permanent monitors on the ground as opposed to being limited to periodic inspections.”
