YEREVAN. – Since the beginning of the current year, Armenia has virtually doubled the volume of fruit and vegetable exports.
The Minister of Agriculture, Sergo Karapetyan, said the abovementioned during his report at Wednesday’s joint session of the National Assembly committees, and regarding the “performance” of the 2015 State Budget of the country.
In his words, exports amounted to about 80 thousand tons, and since the beginning of the year—48 thousand tons already, which is 19,800 tons more than in the same period of 2015.
The minister informed that, until the start of the crop season, exports were carried out owing to the greenhouses.
In addition, the exporters have fully studied the attached necessary documentation, and this will help export without delays.
