YEREVAN. – Armenia will receive 130 thousand US dollars, from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), for consultation with respect to the landfill construction project in Hrazdan town.
The respective statement was approved at Thursday’s cabinet meeting of the government.
The future landfill will service Kotayk and Gegharkunik Provinces; it is planned to open in 2018.
The total project cost is 11 million euros.
Aside from the landfill, garbage trucks are also planned to be purchased in order to serve the towns and villages of these two provinces.
The project will include 12 towns in Armenia.
