Armenia government signs memorandum with Philip Morris International Management S.A.

YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan received a delegation, led by Drago Azinovic, the President of Philip Morris International Management S.A. Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa Region and PMI Duty Free at Philip Morris International, Inc.

The PM welcomed this world-renowned American company’s initiative to increase its activities in Armenia. He noted that the Armenian government stands ready to discuss cooperation plans and initiatives.

Azinovic, for his part, thanked the Government of Armenia for its assistance in the company’s research projects in the country.

Philip Morris International Management S.A. will build research and development (R&D) centers in Armenia.

The company’s official stressed that they are interested in establishing long-term cooperation with the government and the public sector of Armenia.

Subsequently, the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia and Philip Morris International Management S.A. signed a framework memorandum of understanding.
