The Armenian Government program includes no definite approach regarding the job creation.
Independent MP Khachatur Kokobelyan said the aforementioned in the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia Wednesday.
At the same time, the program precisely mentions that the Government shall ensure the decent life of each citizen. ”Apparently, decent life requires decent salary. I wonder what the position and vision of the Government are in regard to salaries and opening of new workplaces during this 6-month period,” Kokobelyan noted.
Responding to the MP’s question, Armenian Premier Karen Karapetyan noted that the program precisely mentions the Government’s stance on opening workplaces through ensuring just and equal conditions for everyone. ”Business and the entrepreneurship world – which is the creator of workplaces – will develop. But apart from this, we also talked about tax exemptions and preferential prices for energy carriers in case of new workplaces and investments. The entire program is aimed at the development of business and creation of free conditions for business, which will lead to the creation of jobs. If this is carried out, the salaries will automatically grow,” Karapetyan stressed.
In the Premier’s words, providing forecast for six months is quite hard, since the economy is an inert system. ”Attracting investments will yield no results in six months. Secondly, considering the pre-election period, we expect certain passivity from the society. Thirdly, a number of countries have Government programs, which lack any figures at all. They mention the qualitative direction and the time will show what will happen as a result.
But in reality, if a Government program lacks figures, this doesn’t mean that it is of poor quality,” Karapetyan concluded.
