Armenia PM: Does anyone prevent us from going to EU and trying to do business there?

Armenia doesn’t have many good and production, which can be competitive, perceptible and acceptable in Europe.

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan said the aforementioned at the meeting with media representatives on Monday, responding to the question as to how correct it was to join the EAEU.

”By having joined that club (EAEU), we [now] have an opportunity to work in a 200-million market. If we work efficiently, everything will be fine. Otherwise, it won’t be fine.  If it’s not fine, this doesn’t mean that the club was bad; the reason would be our inefficient work. Secondly, do we deny the possibility to work in all other platforms by making fiends and being members of one club? Who has caught us by our hand? Who prevents us from going to the EU and trying to do business? Are you aware of any business, which has potential, but isn’t accepted in EU by virtue of our being an EAEU member? Certainly not,” Karapetyan noted.

The PM is sure that Armenia might capitalize on the sanctions imposed on Russia by the European courtiers. According to him, the European companies may export their goods to the EAEU market via Armenia.

Referring to Armenia’s external image, Karapetyan noted that it is formed only through constant work. ”External image is not to go to a barbershop, comb and dress up. This won’t change your image.”
