The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting on Monday with the first Vice Premier of China Zhang Gaoli and the members of the delegation led by him.
The President welcomed the guests, stressing that the visit shows the mutual intention to deepen the relations.
Noting that China is one of the most important partners of Armenia, Sargsyan said that the development of relations with China is one of the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the development of ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The sides noted that despite the external economic perturbations, the Armenian-Chinese economic ties have been actively developing recently, joint projects being implemented in the fields of mining industry, energy and agriculture.
For his part, the first Vice Premier underscored the importance of cooperation with the EAEU, adding that Armenia can contribute to the development of ties as a member of the union. The sides also attached importance to the cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
Following the meeting, the project ”School of Advanced learning of Chinese in Armenia” was launched in the presence of Sargsyan and Mr Gaoli.
