Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation led by Mr Seishiro Eto, Japan-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship League.
Armenia’s leader welcomed the delegation and pointed out Japan’s special place in Armenia’s cooperation with East Asian countries and willingness to develop comprehensive cooperation with Japan.
President Serzh Sargsyan voiced hope that the Japanese delegation’s visit to Armenia would give new impetus to the bilateral parliamentary relations raise the quality of Armenian-Japanese parliamentary cooperation.
In his turn, Mr Seishiro Eto highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in interstate relations. He stated his willingness to spare no effort to intensify contacts between Armenian and Japanese MPs in the interests of bilateral economic cooperation.
The sides discussed mutually beneficial cooperation in different areas and opportunities within international organizations.
