Deputy Prosecutor General Armen Harutyunyan has been appointed Acting Prosecutor General of Armenia after Gevorg Kostanyan handed in resignation on Thursday.
The representatives of Public Relations Division of the Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.
According to the Law on Prosecution, the duties of the Prosecutor General of Armenia shall be temporarily carried out by the eldest Deputy Prosecutor General.
The same source earlier reported that Deputy Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan was appointed an acting prosecutor general. At the moment of the appointment, Armen Harutyunyan was on vacation, but he has returned from holiday on Thursday.
