Iran parliament leader on Karabakh conflict: We do not need another war

Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) of Iran, urged to prevent the development of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to Life.ru of Russia.

During his talk Wednesday with chairman Sergei Naryshkin of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Larijani stated that there is a lot of “turbulence” in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

“We don’t need another war in the world; I have discussed this conflict with the president of Azerbaijan,” the head of the Iranian Parliament added. “Russia and Iran, in cooperation with other countries, will do everything so that there will be no war in Nagorno-Karabakh.”
