Defense Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Karabakh/Artsakh), Lieutenant General Levon Mnatsakanyan received Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk Tuesday.
The meeting addressed the current situation on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, as well as issues related to the monitoring to be carried out in the northeastern direction Wednesday.
In accordance with the arrangement reached with the NKR authorities, the OSCE Mission will conduct a reinforced monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
The monitoring will be held on Wednesday, in the northwestern direction of Talish village of the NKR Martakert Region.
From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring will be conducted by Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative to OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (CiO), and Office staff member Peter Svedberg (Sweden) as well as OSCE CiO Representative Thomas Lenk (Germany).
The NKR authorities have expressed their readiness to assist in conducting the monitoring and to ensure the safety of the OSCE Mission members.
