The aspiration of Georgia to join the NATO is the choice of Georgia and it does not depend on a third party, reports the Sputnik- Georgia referring to the statement of the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
According to him, it is important for the NATO that every nation could have a possibility to choose its own path. “This principle has been signed by Russia and the other European peoples,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili during a joint press conference, said Stoltenberge, adding: ” Georgia ‘s membership in NATO depends on Georgia and the NATO .” Stoltenberge instilled hopes into the Georgian authorities but did not mention the exact date of accession.
