US-Armenia economic cooperation discussed in Yerevan

Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan on Friday received a delegation led by the US ambassador to Armenia to discuss the future of the bilateral economic ties.

Highly appreciating the US Embassy’s collaboration with his agency, Karayan expressed willingness to further deepen the dialogue.
“Our efforts are targeted towards securing foreign investments’ flow to Armenia, and in this respect, the United States is among our key partners. The United States’ cooperation with Armenia covers vast areas; the assistance programs in different branches of the economy are really very effective,” he said.
According to a press release by the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, Karayan also briefed the guests on the platforms of cooperation with the private sector, elaborating on their activities and objectives. He said the Ministry shows a great attention to businesses to address their needs and concerns.

For his part, Mr Mills reaffirmed the Embassy’s willingness to continue the cooperation with the Ministry to promote the development of businesses and tourism in Armenia, and to assist the country in the fight against corruption.
