On February 13, 2016, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Canada, received the visit of a small group of international leaders of the Ramgavar Azadagan (Armenian Democratic Liberal) Party at the Diocesan Headquarters.
Dr. Arshavir Gundjian was accompanying, Mr. Edmond Azadian from Detroit Michigan, and Mr. Vartan Nazirian from Los Angeles California, who were passing briefly from Montreal to attend some ADL Party meetings. The three personalities who are very well known in their respective local communities are also long time leaders of the Ramgavar Party at national and international levels.
The Primate gave an overview to the visitors, of the various important activities and developments that he is actively promoting across the vast and important Diocese of Canada, since his recent arrival as Primate.
The visitors said that they were highly impressed by the quality of the leadership provided by Bishop Hovakimian to this Diocese which is widely known across the diaspora as a vibrant Armenian community.
The visitors have in turn also expressed the historic unconditional support of the Ramgavar Party to the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church under the leadership of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Karekin II. They thus assured the Primate that the Ramgavar Party, as always, stands ready to provide all possible support to help the Canadian Diocese prosper and succeed in its endeavours.
