Agreements reached on all agenda items of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council’s session – Tigran Sargsyan

The heads of the governments reached agreements on all 13 issues included in the agenda of the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in Yerevan on Tuesday, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan told at a briefing.

In Sargsyan’s words, the Council’s session usually addresses the most controversial issues that require compromise from EAEU-member states. The discussions held at the level of the heads of the governments usually allow to adopt political decisions to reach compromises.

“We can now report that agreements have been reached on all 13 issues included in the session’s agenda,” the Chairman of the EEC Board added.

Sargsyan pointed to number of contentious topics such as the business and the obstacles in creating  common markets in the Eurasian economic space, adding a roadmap for removing the barriers was finalized.

To remind,  the agenda of the Yerevan meeting included issues related to the implementation of the EAEU digital agenda, the removal of barriers on the union’s domestic market, industrial cooperation, trade, customs cooperation and economy. Participants of the meeting are set to discuss aspects of the implementation of the project “Eurasian network of industrial cooperation, subcontracting and technology transfer”, efforts to remove barriers.
