The government of Poland supports Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and it wants Armenians to live in peace in their internationally recognized territory, Ambassador of Poland to Armenia Piotr Skwiecinski has said, Armenpress reported.
Skwiecinski told reporters Tuesday that Poland was one of the first countries to provide financial and material support to Armenia to help meet the needs of the forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh after the “tragic events” in September, when Azerbaijan launched a military attack in Nagorno-Karabakh, causing the exodus of over 100,000 Armenians.
Commenting on the EU Foreign Affairs Council’s decision to start negotiations around visa liberalization with Armenia, the Polish diplomat expressed support to this initiative, and emphasized that Poland is definitely not a country creating problems for Armenia in this matter.
“As you know, the negotiations around visa liberalization with Armenia are already in process, and I hope that we will eventually reach this goal and the visa liberalization will become reality,” said the ambassador.
