Armenia, Cyprus keen to deepen bilateral defense cooperation

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has briefed his Cypriot counterpart Michalis Giorgallas on the Crossroads of Peace project developed by the Armenian Government.

During a meeting in Nicosia, the Defense Ministers of the two countries discussed a number of issues related to Armenian-Cypriot cooperation in the defense field.

The parties conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing cooperation and outlined the new opportunities for its advancement, expressing a shared commitment to cooperate across a broader spectrum of sectors including training programs, exchange of experience in various domains, military-technical cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.

Suren Papikyan thoroughly presented the “Crossroads of Peace” project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia to his counterpart.

In a joint statement for the press, the Defense Ministers of the two countries reaffirmed their dedication to cooperation with a comprehensive agenda.
